New Fantasy Football league - Let's discuss! Updated 8/3

I'm willing to be the commissioner for a new paid league. 10-12 teams (owners) and we can discuss format. Not interested in a keeper league. Can we get 10 or 12 individuals who would want to join? I'm thinking $40 or $60 buy-in.

I'm taking NinerGod's advice...At this point, unless there is a strong backlash against using ESPN...that is the platform we will use. I'm old school when it comes to FF leagues so I'm advising we stick with the traditional point system as you can see below (very straightforward):

Quarterbacks
StatPoints Passing Yards 1 point per 25 yards Passing TDs 4 points Rushing Yards 1 point per 10 yards Rushing TDs 4 points Interception -2 points Fumble Lost -2 points

Running Backs
StatPoints Rushing Yards 1 point per 10 yards Rushing TDs 6 points Receiving Yards 1 point per 10 yards Receiving TDs 6 points Fumble Lost -2 points

Wide Receivers
StatPoints Rushing Yards 1 point per 10 yards Rushing TDs 6 points Receiving Yards 1 point per 10 yards Receiving TDs 6 points Fumble Lost -2 points

Place-Kicker (K) 1
Bench (BE) 6
Total Players 15

Im in. Most of the Zone though are stuck in their ways and wont venture out to new leagues.

Well...we got 2! Lol.

I guess we'll see in the coming weeks if we can get at least 8 more.

What platform are you planning on using for the league? (ESPN, yahoo?)

ESPN would be my vote.

I'd probably join

I'd probably prefer yahoo

I'm not sold to any platform as I've "played" on most of the major ones. Yahoo is fine if that would be the majority decision.

espn and yahoo have been my favorite for their layout and draft rooms

Im good with yahoo or espn. Both work well.

Well, looks like we might have 4 good to go. If we can get 6 more in the coming weeks we'll be all set!

Count me in. If theres a buy in, id like everyone to have paid before drafting their teams.

And please disclose any unusual rules or settings beforehand! Lets get it!

OP, id suggest choosing a platform and laying down a point system. That might help draw in other users. Pulling in another 4 to 5 people might be a challenge.

I dont see why the people on the waiting list for the other league cant or wont sign up here

Well...in just a few days we seem to have half a league filled up already. So we might just need to give it another week or so. Plenty of time to gain 5 more peeps.
