Could have rolled those dice 3-4 rounds from now

I'm sure some would have made that argument for Lillard last year.

Nah, You got Lillard in a good value spot last year. Maybe Oladipo will outperform expectations for you, but he's going to have to wildly do so in order to get close to sixth round value. More importantly, I suspect you just outbid yourself, since I'd bet good money he'd be on the board in 3 rounds.

Lillard was picked in the same round last year and was by no means was a sure thing. Sure, in retrospect it was good value, but at the time he was a rookie who hadn't played a meaningful NBA minute. Granted, Lillard was terrific in the preseason. Oladipo, likewise has looked very good and should get a lot of minutes. He has potential keeper value, something hardly any player at this point in the draft has. No way he makes it to the ninth round. Not a chance. And he doesn't need to wildly outperform expectations; he simply needs to be a top 70 player or close to it.

Fair enough. I didn't have him in my top 100, and I don't see that many if any of the experts did either. If he makes top 70, you break even, but like i said, even with the good pre-season, he's not projected to get there. But in any event, I was just making bored commentary.
Michlake takes Javale McGee, I take Andre Iguodala.

Lowest Merion is OTC

Hey man, I know where you're coming from. Being this is a keeper league, I think ups his value. I'm still probably a year away from competing so I don't mind taking a chance on a guy who has a solid chance in being this year's ROY, or at least one of the better rookies. I have guys graded ahead of him as safer bets, but I have a gut feeling he's going to be good out of the gates. Last year in the other league I play with Pete, he took Lillard in the sixth and I was banging my head for not grabbing him in the fifth. I thought I could wait on Oladipo in the seventh or maybe even eighth, but I didn't want to lose out like I did last year. Sometimes you just have to grab a guy a round early if you really want him.
