This is the first time Im in a league for money where I will be drafting defensive players. Can anyone help me out on what kind of strategy I should have for this? Do you still wait until the last rounds to draft defense?

this, unless it's some unreal settings, there's no reason for you to be picking IDP's early IMO
now if your league has return yardage for individual players, someone like PP7 would be a good get

Depending on the scoring system, MLBs on lousy teams are always consistent scorers, watch the waiver wire during the season for these types of guys filling in due to injury. Most years half my defense ends up being guys off waivers and is always pretty good.
