On Wednesday, the San Francisco 49ers kicked off their final week of practice of the season. The team is preparing for a Week 17 matchup against the NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams and looking to continue its red-hot winning streak.

The 49ers look relatively healthy heading into the season finale. Only defensive end Elvis Dumervil and tackle Joe Staley did not practice. Both were simply given their typical veteran days off.

As expected, linebacker Reuben Foster and safety Adrian Colbert were limited following injuries against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Tuesday that both are expected to play on Sunday.

"We came out (of Sunday's game) pretty good," Shanahan told reporters. "... We had Reuben who got another stinger. He'll be limited this week with it but he should be alright for Sunday. And Colbert had an AC sprain so he'll be limited also but should be ok for Sunday too."

On Wednesday, Rams head coach Sean McVay said he would not play quarterback Jared Goff, running back Todd Gurley, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, center John Sullivan, among others.

"I mean, it's what the market is," York said at the NFL owners meetings. "It's not like Brock is going to ask for something that no one has ever asked for before. You have, I don't know how many players making over $40 million as a quarterback right now." York added, "And whether I like it or not, that's what the market is, and you have to accept the reality of the world. And to me, the

By David Bonilla
Mar 25

According to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal, San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is preparing to assume the role of principal owner of the team by acquiring the necessary equity from his mother, Denise DeBartolo York. "The transaction and title change is subject to NFL approval, expected during the league meetings underway today in Orlando," Fischer wrote.
