On Tuesday, the San Francisco 49ers announced via Twitter that the team has waived wide receiver B.J. Johnson from the injured reserve list.

Originally waived by the 49ers on July 31, Johnson cleared waivers and reverted back to the team the next day but was placed on injured reserve due to a torn hamstring.

Johnson was originally signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 8. He played college football at Georgia Southern. During his five-year career with the Eagles, Johnson played in 44 games, started 35, and registered 92 receptions for 1,377 yards and six touchdowns.
